Lot 229 German Nazi Dagger, 13 1/2" oal, 9" blade, Tiger, Solingen mark, etched "Alles fur Deutschland" (All for Germany)with metal plaque and two photos. German writing on the back of the photos, like trading cards, and the plaque, loosely translated reads, "The premise for the will and the courage to be truthful" (ironic, since this has Hitler's image on it.)On the back of the plaque it says something about an approved award for nature studies, 4 X 5 3/4. Note here about Nazi stuff. Nothing about the auctioning of Nazi stuff is to glorify Hitler or anything he stood for. The reason such artifacts are in the US is because a strong US soldier likely brought them home as war trophies, often liberating them from the dead bodies of our enemies. What these artifacts glorify instead is the triumph of good over evil, when the sword of justice was wielded by an American warrior. May it always be so. Lot 252 Sheffield Exhibition Knives is a book by Bill Claussen, Bill Adams, Brad Watts and others. It is a 247 page book, hardcover with a color dust jacket. Published in 1999, it is considered the ultimate reference work of Sheffield Exhibition knives, featuring full color pages of many knives from the Joseph Rodgers, IXL George Wostenholm, and John Blyde/Greenhough exhibition collections. Lot 267 John Russell Green River Works Cowboy Bowie, stag slab handles that wrap around a hidden tang, nickel silver guard, blade has only a little wear but some serious spotting damage in large splotches on the front side .
